This kimono is made with breathable hand loomed cotton fabric called Ikat. IKAT is a specialized weaving method that uses pre dyed cotton yarn.  The yarn is dyed in predetermined patterns using a resist dyeing method.  At the time of weaving these patterns come together to form the final design.  Ikat a signature art of making fabric in India.
